INFORMATION FOR GUESTS

Housekeeping

All rooms will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to arrival. 

​

If you would like your room cleaned, please leave your blue 'clean my room' hanger outside your door by 10am. If hangers are hung later than this, rooms may get missed. If you request room cleaning, we ask that you vacate your room. 

​

We will come and give rooms a freshen up and clean bathrooms. We will only provide fresh towels and linen on longer length stays.

​

In the event of a fire..

Please raise the alarm by activating one of the red alarm boxes located in the hallways. If you discover the fire, please call the fire brigade on 999.  Vacate the building immediately and do not stop to collect any belongings. Please notify us either in person or by phone on 01723 372948. 

Keys

You have two keys, one for your room and one for the two front doors. You can use the same key for both front doors.

 

The capped key is your room key. The rooms are not self locking so you need to remember to lock your room. We will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to guests property as a result of their rooms being left unlocked.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8 am and 9.15 am. You will have been given an allocated slot for you to come for breakfast. We kindly ask that you pre-order breakfast by completing our online pre-order form. If you have dietary requirements or you would like a variation of something that is not on the menu, please just ask. We can also do a gluten-free & vegetarian alternatives which can be ordered through our pre-ordering system.


               

 

Checking Out

Check out is at 10am. We ask that you leave the keys in the room and any used towels in the shower. Unused towels can be left folded on the bed, chair or wardrobe unit. We do hope that you have had a good stay with us however if you have any feedback, please don't hesitate to speak to us as you leave.

If you wish to return, remember to book direct as you'll receive our cheapest rate and complimentary breakfast.

We also ask that you kindly take the time to leave us a review.

Reviews are incredibly important for us as a small business. Please take the time to leave us a review on either Tripadvisor, Google or Booking.com. Whilst we welcome the freedom of reviews being positive or negative, should an issue arise during your stay, we kindly ask that you speak with us about it first as we may be able to rectify it before leaving negative feedback.

Things to Do

​

Cleveland Way

You can walk the Cleveland Way along the Cliff Tops at 'The Old Scalby Mill Pub'. You will need sensible walking shoes but the views are breathtaking!

​

Cinder Track 

The Cinder Track is the old railway which was used to connect Scarborough to Whitby. It is now a walking route, cycle track and bridleway. 

​

Scarborough Castle

Looming proudly over the two bays of Scarborough stands the Castle. Owned by English Heritage, you can walk up and have a look around. You will need around 45 minutes to 1 hour to look around properly.

​

Sealife Centre

Located on North Bay is the Sealife Centre. Bursting with beautiful sea-life, this is a great activity to do with the children!

​

Alphamare

Located just a short walk away is the Alphamare water park. Another great day out for the family. 

​

Stephen Joseph Theatre

Why not go and visit the theatre for one evening during your stay? The SJT is a 10-minute walk from the B&B. 

​

Dolphin & Porpoise Spotting

Head to Marine Drive at the bottom of the castle with a pair of binoculars and you may be able to see some Dolphins, Harbour Porpoise and Whales. Alternatively, head to South Bay where you will find boat tours for this purpose. 

​
